Life at 91...

To get over my frustrations, I am busying myself with other tasks... such as looking over my memories and tagged posts... organizing posts... etc..

So I came across this memory titled Life at 87...

ivey's brother, whit, didn't last in cali... he was back within the year.

whit is back to living with the grandmother as her caretaker... again... she is 91 years old now and looks a little bit scarier than the crypt keeper at this point. she still has a lot of trouble getting up and down stairs, and seeing - she is probably close to being legally blind... so he was there to do all of the laundry, groceries, cooking, cleaning, etc... so that she was simply looked after and that the house was taken care of, in return, he was living rent free.

he still doesn't do anything like he is supposed to.

ivey's mother still delivers groceries to her mother once or twice a month... she still eats nothing but tv dinners and pot pies... ivey still fixes any problems in the house... occasionally his grandmother's sister cleans up around the house... the bathroom is DISGUSTING, if I go back with them next time I'll clean it myself... therefore none of said above agreed things have EVER been taken care of by whit... ever. not before, not now.

we still have his cat... we re-named him Fat Cat. he lives with me & ivey... whit can't have him back. i refuse. period. however, just to make it seem like i was not trying to keep his cat i did tell him he could have him back, if he agreed to pay us back for all of the vet bills we incurred during the time we had him. hahahaha! yea, right.

her dog has since passed away, leaving her sad for companionship... but she wouldn't be able to handle another dog. puppers was so old when he died, he was peeing everywhere and could barely see or stand... poor thing. it left the house a little cleaner... at least it didn't smell so bad.

between the disrepair and the dirt... ivey's still concerned. plus his brother's lack of any consideration for the grandmother at all is very alarming. the last time we went to drop off groceries we went upstairs to pick up the mail and whit was growing pot plants in the windows! i mean, wtf! an old woman lives there!!! it's her house!!! could you imagine the cops coming to the door for that one?! P let him know he needed to get them the hell outta there... but hey, it's not up to me... but if it was, his ungrateful ass would be out on the street! he's 39 years old!!! he doesn't handle any of his responsibilities and all he does is build legos in the basement and grow pot in the attic!!! grow up for f*cks sake!!!!

i know none of this is still directly my problem, but i feel for the old lady, she's always sweet to me when i visit... and ivey likes her... but the rest of the family says we don't know her well enough and that she's a horrible old bat. i just want to make sure she's okay, ivey feels strongly about it and i agree... it's almost as if nobody else cares. i mean, she's older than dirt... she needs someone to be on her side.

so that's the story updated, it's still so ridiculous that things haven't changed much at all...
